ADEADE started in 2007 when designer Deltrinique Le Boujalique found herself in search of a unique pair of earrings. After searching a few stores only to find the same thing over and over, she decided to try and make a pair herself. Deltrinique would combine her experience as an artist and crafter to create her very first pair of ADEADE earrings. She wore her earrings to an event and recieved so many compliments it became clear this was the beginning of something big. Deltrinique began drawing characters and scenes for her new jewelry daily. Her characters seemed to emerge from what she saw and experienced while growing up in her hometown Oakland, Ca. Deltrinique wanted the world to see the beauty in the things many urban dwellers take for granted, or even look upon with disdain: Graffiti, Murals, Litter, Homeless People, Bus Stops, Liquor Stores that sell Ten Cent Candy in addition to Potato Chips and Pickles, Corner Churches, and Muslim Bakeries.
Every person that wears AdeAde becomes a walking exhibit displaying a beautiful scene or character from the Urban Serengeti in Deltrinique's mind.
